Where do Americans recycle the most?

The Hartford Business Journal published the results of SizeUp’s report on recycling centers, showing that Connecticut is the top performing state for recycling centers in terms of revenue per capita. Connecticut was followed by New Jersey, Vermont, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Arkansas, Oregon, Kentucky, and Washington state.

“We were interested to see that states in the Northeastern U.S. have the most successful recycling centers,” said Anatalio Ubalde, CEO of SizeUp. “Since many recycling centers make money through government contracts, our list is one measure of each state’s level of commitment to sustainability programs.”

The report was also written up by Vermont Business Magazine, Norwalk Daily Voice, Connecticut News, Des Moines RegisterRecycling International, Small Business Opportunities Magazine, and Greentech Lead.
